My name is Lucía Fernández–or Ms. Lucía–and I’m so glad you’re interested in starting your child’s musical journey with us. Playing the piano is a skill of a lifetime, one that helps children relax and shape their character.
As a mother, I believe children should have a well-rounded education that includes quality music instruction. Sadly, as schools in Puerto Rico become increasingly hyper-focused on academics, music has been pushed to the wayside.
Our piano programs are designed to fill this gap in private education. Between a family’s busy schedule and kids occupied with a demanding academic load, we need to give pre-teens and teenagers creative ways to decompress other than video games, Instagram, Tik-Tok, etc.
Now, more than ever, children need tools to help them channel their emotions and express themselves when words aren’t enough.

So, why me?
I am the founder and head instructor of PIANOFORTE Boutique Piano Studio. I’ve taught piano at schools in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the U.S., including Missouri Western State University, where I received my degrees in piano performance and pedagogy.
PIANOFORTE Boutique Piano Studio is the first and only bilingual piano school serving the entire island of Puerto Rico. Our conservatory-quality music programs incorporate modern tools that appeal especially to preteens and teenagers.
Over the course of 2 decades, I have developed a technique that helps my students learn the piano quickly, exponentially, and in a way that nurtures a healthy mindset. Whether your child is a beginner or is looking to take their studies to the next level, I can help.
