Meet Lucía Fernández
Lucía Fernández is a pianist and educator with over two decades of experience. She has taught countless children, teens and adults how to play the piano, and more than anything else, she believes that instilling a love and understanding of music in her students helps to enrich their lives. She has seen the value of music education over and over, both in the lives of her students and her own children.
She earned degrees in both performance and pedagogy from Missouri Western State University, and since then, she has taught students in PR, Mexico and elsewhere. Piano Lessons For Kids in Trujillo Alto
Our piano lessons for children have two goals:
To help kids integrate music and a second language
To remove the responsibility and stress that piano lessons can sometimes cause for parents
Many of our students have grown into teenagers and adults who are so thankful to their parents for giving them the gift of music. But despite that incentive, parents are often reluctant to take on another responsibiltiy.
We teach our students music, exercises, and concepts in their lessons, so the parent does not have to worry about helping their child learn notes, music theory, pieces of music, and other things. Our lesson program also has a convenient schedule, so you will not have to worry about getting to lessons on time each week.

Young professionals, parents, and retired individuals alike love their piano lessons at PIANOFORTE Boutique Piano Studio. Our unique methodology help them quickly learn the music they want to play, and we are happy to cover concepts that are of particular interest to the student. Whether you want to learn Chopin, Bach, or the Beatles, we can help you become an independent musician who can accomplish anything you wish.
We Host Recitals and Help Our Students Meet Each Other
Performing music for others doesn’t have to be scary. We coach our students on the art of memorizing music, interpreting dynamics and articulation, and other nuances of communicating music to an audience, and by the time a recital comes around, you will be confident and excited to share.
We create a fun and welcoming environment where students support each other and feel comfortable playing music, and from the beautiful venues we choose to the opportunity to chat with other aspiring pianists, you will enjoy our recital opportunities each year.
Concepts You May Learn in Lessons
There is much more to playing the piano than simply playing notes and chords. You will learn how to play with safe and healthy technique, you’ll learn to read music (and sight read) with both hands on the bass and treble clefs, and you will even learn the basics of music theory. Dynamics, rhythm, key signatures, memorization and other concepts will all be covered in lessons.
If this sounds overwhelming to you, don’t worry. We won’t go any faster than you are comfortable. Furthermore, Ms. Fernández’s experience allows her to logically build new concepts on top of things you already understand - this means that while you feel like you are proceeding at a comfortable pace, you will be amazed at how much you learn in your first few months or years.
