Piano Lessons For Adults

Our unique curriculum helps adults make rapid progress at the piano during lessons; that way, you don’t need to practice for hours and hours on your own. We help adult piano students learn to play the piano in a way that works in harmony with their busy schedules.

We also take your goals into consideration. Many adults want to develop the ability to sight read, while others want to learn a set of their favorite songs. Opportunities To Meet Your Peers

We host multiple recitals each year for students enrolled in our program. This gives them the opportunity to  make friends, share the music they’ve been working on, and learn the art of memorization and musical interpretation for an audience. Our events are at beautiful locations, like the Conservatorio de Música in Miramar, and we will devote time in your lessons to help you prepare for these performance opportunities.

Meet Lucía Fernández, Founder of PIANOFORTE Boutique Piano Studio

Lucía Fernández has degrees in both piano pedagogy and performance from Missouri Western State University, and she enjoys putting her expertise to use in lessons. She has 20+ years of experience teaching kids, high schoolers and adults. Not only is she Puerto Rico’s leading piano instructor; she is one of the only fluent bilingual piano teachers on the island.

A Holistic Approach To Piano Teaching

Specific skills like note reading, playing scales, performing a piece from memory, or playing a tune by ear are useful, but they should not exist independently. In our program, we help students become well-rounded, independent musicians.

You will learn how to read notes, identify time signatures, play with perfect technique, analyze the music theory in a piece of music, and even choose your own repertoire. As you progress, you will have the skills to inspect a new piece and create a specific practice strategy all on your own.

From understanding sharps and flats to competing in the International Piano Festival in San Juan, you will gain the skills to pursue anything you want in music.
